Book Review: Wonder by R.J. Palacio

“Everyone deserves a standing ovation at least once in their life.”

-R.J. Palacio

Wow.

If you haven’t dived into the world of August Pullman yet, you are missing out. No matter what season of life you’re in, it’s truly heartwarming and beautiful.

Meet Auggie Pullman, a middle schooler with a facial deformity who’s been homeschooled forever and is just now starting middle school. A real middle school. Here he has been stared at, joked about and made fun of all his life and now he’s supposed to go to a school with dozens of other middle schoolers?

This wonderful tale brings you along through the lives of not just Auggie, but several of his friends, family, and foes, each told from their perspective. Be prepared to both laugh and cry out loud! This is a story of friendship, kindness, and of course, wonder.

Go check it out at your library and fall in love just like I did! And of course, be sure to watch the movie that came out, which is as fantastic as the book!

5/5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
