Andalusian

The majestic image of power

Basics:

Today Andalusians are about 15-16 hands tall and are usually colored gray or bay. In the past they could be found with pretty much any color though!

Interesting facts about this breed:

The Andalusian was originally from Spain was was prized a Calvary horse. But after the breed nearly died out from cross breeding and being used in so many Napoleonic wars a group of monks helped the Andalusian come back and made sure the bloodline was not lost. Andalusians are a very popular breed and are known for their extreme beauty and their wavy flowing manes and tails! Andalusians are also known for their high-stepping action and they are at home both at fiestas back in Spain AND in a dressage arena! I’ve even been as fortunate to ride an award winning Andalusian stallion named Desperado!
