Hi!
We got a chance to see “Adore Him: He Is Here” in the theatre recently. They were playing it for five nights. I’m glad we ended up going!
What’s something you liked about it (and why)? I liked the reflections/personal stories. There were some really powerful ones, and through them it was so inspiring to see the power and love of God through Adoration, and its importance.
What’s something you disliked about it (and why)? I didn’t really like how they sort of took creative liberty on how scenes went in the Bible, like when Mary anointed Jesus’ feet, and maybe the Annunciation and stuff, because I’ve been aware of that lately and how the Bible may say you shouldn’t change stuff like this. Even if what it says doesn’t apply to this, I still don’t know if I like what they did with certain parts of the Bible, based on how it is really written.
What was your biggest takeaway or lesson? There were a lot of takeaways, but a big one was being reminded of how completely powerful God is through Adoration, and how important it is. And I love the simplicity yet power of God through it, and how you can just look at Him and let Him look at you if you want, and also how He will transform you through Adoration. I also love the idea that sometimes, when trying to evangelize or help people, you need to give them Jesus, bring them to Jesus. He will take care of it. You might have to do more too, but still.
What is something you’re curious to learn more about as a result of this experience? There was some stuff in the movie about Life Teen, and I was interested to learn more about them and serving/working with them. I looked them up since then and some of what I saw made me less interested, but I do want to go deeper and learn more about them and what they do, and service/work opportunities.
Thanks for reading!
Lucy
