Description
This unique, handmade knitted hat is inspired by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. It is made with very soft and not overly heavy yarn.
As a member of the Visitation Order of religious nuns, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque lived in the 1600’s in France. Through a series of visions from Jesus, He chose to give Margaret Mary a special gift- the devotion to His Sacred Heart.
She died at 43 and her feast day is October 16.
Because of her connection to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and her vocation as a nun, I decided to make the hat black and white to represent her habit, and I added in red hearts to represent Jesus’s Sacred Heart!
When you wear this hat, hopefully it’ll help you draw closer to this wonderful saint and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus!
St Margaret Mary Alacoque, pray for us!
