The Friesian is a breathtakingly beautiful horse that is black all over with sometimes a white star on their forehead. Friesians stand between 15-16 hands and were originally from the Netherlands.   

Interesting facts about this breed: 

Friesians are influenced by Arabian and Spanish blood, because of their refined head, proud bering and high- stepping. Friesians were used as war horses with knights so they had to be really strong yet agile. Today, Friesians are used at funerals because of their black coat. They are also used pulling carriages, dressage, show jumping and western riding.
